An easy technique to quickly shift the mind from stress to rest.

WHAT

Anxiety can sneak up when you least expect it. A way to manage it quickly is to utilise your breath.

WHY

An easy breathing technique that acts as a break to the fight or flight part of the nervous system.

HOW

Relax your shoulders, jaw and forehead.

Take a deep breath in through the nose, allow your chest to lift and your belly to rise. Exhale through the nose or mouth slowly & steadily. Try and make your exhale breath out longer than your inhale breath in. Adding a count may also be helpful, such as breathing in for a count of three, breathing out for a count of four or five. Repeat up to five times or longer if required.
